White, oblong-shaped tablets.
Indications
Azithromycin 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms susceptible to the active substance, including:
- Infections of the upper respiratory tract and ENT organs: sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and otitis media.
- Infections of the lower respiratory tract: acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia.
- Infections of the skin and soft tissues: moderate acne vulgaris, erysipelas, impetigo, and pyoderma.
- Uncomplicated infections of the urinary tract caused by Chlamydia trachomatis (urethritis and/or cervicitis).
Contraindications
Azithromycin 500 mg is contraindicated in patients with:
- Hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, or other macrolides, ketolides, or any of the other components of the product.
- Severe impairment of liver function.
- Children under 12 years of age weighing less than 45 kg.
- Breastfeeding.
- Concomitant use with ergotamine or dihydroergotamine.
Storage Conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and out of the reach of children.
