Indications
DELOPAM 150 mg is indicated for the treatment of:
- Genital candidiasis.
- Vaginal candidiasis, including acute and recurrent chronic vaginal candidiasis.
- Candidal balanitis.
Dosage and Administration
Vaginal Candidiasis and Candidal Balanitis
The recommended dose is 150 mg as a single oral dose.
Children
Although there is substantial evidence supporting the use of fluconazole in children, there is limited information regarding the use of fluconazole for the treatment of genital candidiasis in children under 16 years of age.
Treatment is currently not recommended unless antifungal therapy is essential and no suitable alternative treatment is available.
Elderly Patients
The usual adult dose should be used.
Patients with Renal Impairment
Fluconazole is excreted predominantly in the urine in unchanged form.
For single-dose treatment, no dose adjustment is required.
Packaging
3 capsules per blister.
3 blisters are packed in a carton together with the package leaflet.
Storage Conditions
Store at a temperature below 25°C, in a dry, dark place and out of the reach of children.
